DETECTS SMART PHONES AND WATCHES
77% report being within 5ft of their smartphone the majority of the time
Our RTLS sensors scan for Bluetooth signals from registered smart phones and watches to determine their owner's location.

INTELLITHINGS RTLS
CONCEPT OF OPERATION
CLOUD BASED
Our RTLS platform is cloud based. All sensors report detected smart phones and watches back to our cloud where final decisions about people's location is made.
Our cloud also provides 24/7 remote management for all RTLS sites, via the Intellithings RTLS mobile application.
DETECTS SITE LEAVE
If someone's smart phone and watch are not detected by any of the sensors for 30 minutes, our RTLS platform considers that person as out of site.

WE THOUGHT YOU'D ASK...
How do you address user privacy concerns?
Users register to the Intellithings RTLS system with a phone number and assigned an internal user-id (UUID) by which they are internally managed. For easy internal identification, the system admin can set a custom name for each user such as a real name or an alias. During registration, users also register their smart phone hardware based on which their presence is detected.
Real-time presence data sent out by the Intellithings RTLS API to 3rd party systems include the internal user-id, the custom name of the user as set by the admin and the room-id where the user is detected. By real-time presence data, it is impossible to identify who the user really is.
What are repeaters?
Repeaters are small hubs that connect our RPS-002 room level presence sensors with the cloud by establishing Bluetooth to cloud transport. Repeaters can serve multiple RPS-002 sensors and all RPS-002 sensors must be in a range of at least one repeater to work.
Are there flush mounts available for your sensors?
Flush mounts are available from Wall-Smart. RoomMe mounts are compatible with RPS-002 sensor.
How do I handle rooms with multiple entrances?
Depending on the size of the room and the application, you can either install one RPS-002 sensor in a centralized location, install several RPS-002 sensors to cover all room entrances or use LRS-001 sensor instead of RPS-002 sensors. We're always happy to help you choose the best sensors and mounting locations for your project. For free consultation, use the contact us page.
How do I handle open concept floors?
Even in open concept floors, there are "virtual lines" that separate different areas. Consider these lines as virtual walls when deciding where to mount the sensors. We're always happy to help you choose the best sensors and mounting locations for your project. For free consultation, use the contact us page.
Do your sensors require line of sight?
No! Feel free to install them completely hidden above the ceiling or behind walls - just make sure that nothing blocks their RF signal (no metal covers...)
DETECTS ENTRIES
When a registered smart phone or watch is detected by a sensor, our RTLS system considers the person to whom it belongs as entering the location where the sensor is, and as leaving the location where that person has previously entered.
ROOM LEVEL DETECTION
To detect entries to rooms, you'll use the RPS-002 ceiling sensor.
This sensor creates a downward facing cone-shaped detection area to detect registered smart phones and watches passing through, and report their entry.
Typical applications: automation and energy saving at room level.

AREA LEVEL DETECTION
To detect entries to wide areas, you'll use the LRS-001 sensor.
This sensor creates wide circular detection area to detect registered smart phones and watches entering, and report their entry.
Typical applications: time clock, alarm verification and energy saving in large spaces.
