Creating Absence Notifications
Absence notification enables you to get a text message to your mobile phone once a specific person hasn't entered a location for a set amount of hours during a specific time period. The main use cases for this type of notification are to check that an aging in place parent travels between rooms or that a child is back home during an expected time range.
To define an absence notification, follow these steps in the RoomMe app of the person you'd like to monitor:
Press the ABSENCE icon.
Press the clock icon.
Press the custom time range icon.
Select the days of week and the time range in which you'd like RoomMe to monitor for absence. Press the V icon to save.
Press on the text "for at least 4 hours".
Select the desired absence time to monitor.
Under the RoomMe Actions category, Enable Send text message and press the pen (Edit) icon to define the message.
Enter the phone number to which the absence notification will be sent and enter a custom message for this notification.
At the end, press DONE.
To save the charm, press the CAST MY CHARM button.
Define as many charms as needed to check for absence during different times of the day and days of the week.
